I finally got the opportunity to work with GM on a game trailer after hearing his demos for months and it was on par with my expectations. The session went super smoothly, GM is great at picking up directions super quickly and he had researched the topic so much that there was no struggle with pronunciation. All we had to do was focus on acting. 100% recommended!

GM reads more rapidly as exciting events happen, but he never loses the strength and the tone of his narration. He will make you laugh out loud at the funny scenes, because he has terrific comic timing. And when sad events unfold, his voice becomes slower and hushed and full of emotion. He’ll give you chills. He’ll make you laugh and cry, and leave you wanting more.

GM joined my roster when we had just begun testing and creating a new format of audio-storytelling at Pocket FM. GM has been the utmost professional from the get-go. He wanted to absolutely nail the tone for our original show on Pocket FM ‘Hometown Revenge’ so he recorded sample narration for us to choose from, ensuring that we got the perfect vocal range for our lead characters. He’s now also done several pieces of promo work for our Live Action department for Meta and TikTok videos. Every time we ask him for work, he turns it around quickly and clearly communicates with us about our needs for each project. Most VOA talents don’t take as much pride in their work as GM does. He uploads his files promptly and efficiently and his warm baritone really draws our audiences in. He is a total delight to work with!

GM was the only person to really bring up the idea of adding humanity to Zubyar. In the script, I just wrote, ‘at a loss for words.’ GM brought that humanity by having Zubyar more or less break down into very confused laughter, which hit me really hard and was a way better idea than what I had in my mind.

GM was great to work with! Responsive and so friendly and accommodating especially because it was a strange project that required a few rounds! 10/10.

From audition to finished product of my audiobook, GM was a consummate professional and a dream to work with. The project involved a varied cast of characters and several Latin references and horticultural pronunciations, so GM’s exceptional voice talent, strong command of language and impeccable attention to detail was especially invaluable. GM went above and beyond to grasp the nuances of each character along with their interconnections to each other and the book as a whole, breathing life into each one in a way that repeatedly gave me goosebumps. I directed and worked with GM Hakim on an original, voiced comic dub. Hakim was very pleasant to work with every step of the way and he did a wonderful job in his role. He was also prompt and professional in submission and kept the lines of communication crystal clear.
